Ani Gabisonia

Ani Gabisonia provides comprehensive support to Criminal Department, including general admin tasks, correspondence, and assistance during conferences.

She has a Bachelor’s degree in Law from HSE University (the best Russian university two years in a row according to Forbes) and a Master’s degree in Applied Criminology from MMU.

Experienced in academic research on modern socio-political issues, Ani’s professional interests include cases of domestic violence, hate crimes and violations of immigrants’ rights. She is passionate about promoting women’s rights and fighting xenophobic social attitudes in Russia.

She has also volunteered to organise human rights’ events for students in St. Petersburg and provide learning support to disadvantaged adults in Manchester.

Ani speaks Russian, English, Georgian and Mingrelian languages.
